Est. reading time:

This is the third video from the Angkor temple complex in Cambodia, number 668 on UNESCO’s World Heritage List.

Wikipedia states that Angkor served as the Khmer Empire’s capital from the ninth until the fifteenth century. There are more than a thousand temples in the Angkor region. They range in size from unremarkable piles of brick debris strewn throughout rice fields to Angkor Wat, which is reputed to be the biggest single religious structure in the world. The majority of the temples at Angkor have undergone restoration. All in all, they make up the most important example of Khmer architecture.

This is part 3 of a series of 4 videos. The scenes on this video are from the following temples. (Numbers indicate minutes and seconds into the video.)

Ta Prohm (00:00); Pre Rup (05:34); Preah Khan (07:53).

First watch this fourth video from Angkor, then read about the Angkor World Heritage Site and the full story from my visit here. Check out all videos no. 1no. 2no. 3 and no. 4 in this series.

You will find a number of videos from several countries on Sandalsand’s YouTube channel. As you can see from the link above, that is where the original videos are. In addition all videos and playlists also appear in separate articles on this website, like the one you are on now. You may watch the video right here, or in a larger window on YouTube.
